Lars’ mother, Shirley Tetens, always had a passion for culinary adventures. In the 1950’s she was avidly developing new recipes with
new exotic combinations of flavors and textures. Lars started training with her at five years old in basic recipes and at six began
training to be an explorer of new delights on the path to discovering her art of culinary exploration. Shirley had a love for chocolate
which she passed down to her son who, to this day, uses the discipline that his mother taught him as a child to manufacture his exotic
indulgences.
When Lars was only eight years old, he started his work on creating his own chocolates and truffles utilizing the
training from his mother by combining the sumptuous, exotic spices and flavors of the East, the traditional old world of the French
chocolatier, and the heat of South American spices. Almost forty years ago, Lars created his one-of-a-kid unique chocolates and chocolate
truffles for the enjoyment of those with the wherewithal to become consumers of his exotic treats.
